Before The Throne

This song has been around for a while. I believe it’s one of those songs that will be around for a long time to come, and one we won’t get tired of. It was written about 140 years ago! There are quite a few singers that have recorded it, but I found this video on YouTube and wanted to share it with you all. It’s very well done, but more importantly, it touches you in a way that is difficult to describe. The lyrics are so full of God’s promises to us. I hope it moves you as much as it moves me. Check out the first few lines of the song:

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea:
A great High Priest, whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart;
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
