About

Stuff about me… I’m a born again Christian. I love my wife and three children. I love the Lord and being a part of His ministry. I lead worship at Calvary Houston. I work in IT and have been for quite some time. I can honestly say that my secular career has been guided and blessed by God. I’m amazed at what He has done. Really!

I’ve used the Windows OS forever (seems like it), but recently switched to Apple. I really like my MacBook and will never go back! Case closed.

I love to sing, play guitar, and tickle the ivories. I play bass too, but it sounds like a guitarist playing – all “real” bass players will know what I mean here. Always wanted to learn how to play drums, but I’ll have to stick to using software like FruityLoops and Logic Pro to build grooves, and leave the real thing to the guys I play with at Calvary Houston – the real drummers. By the way, how many drummers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Answer: One… Two… and a One, Two, Three, Four! Corny as it may be, I like that joke. It makes me laugh (even now!)

From a musical perspective, my influences are quite a few and probably too numerous to list. One day I’ll list some of them. But more important than influence is inspiration. There are lots of artists out there that inspire me to sing and play better, and to develop as a musician. But none of them inspire me as much as my wife and best friend. Just celebrated 19 years of marriage, and it just keeps getting better (no she didn’t tell me to write that).

I thank God for His abundant mercy and grace! Words could never completely describe what He has done in my life. I prayed and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 20 years old – I was “saved”. But it wasn’t until I was 30 that I surrendered all of my life, and asked Him to be Lord too. It was from that point on that I began to understand the difference between “religion” and “relationship”.

In everything, I give Him thanks.

John 3:16 says this: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have eternal life.
